Mornings turn to orange

I never really understood the concept of observation.Let me rephrase: I can understand the concept , but it does not seem to fulfill me.
They say that technique will set you free, meaning that it will help you illustrate exact feelings. But since when feelings are definite?
We "imprisoned" feelings in definitions and words.Happiness,sadness,anger.The truth is that the way we see things, our feelings, cannot be fully expressed even if you hold the biggest dictionary on earth. Any object might mean various things to various people.
In art, one tries to offer other people his/her own feelings and perspective, broaden horizons that are further away from reality.

In addition, observation seems infinite and because of that, it seems hopeless. An artwork will never be finished, it will never be reality. Why trying to catch something that will always fly away, and it is not the point that we try to get across?
We have means to improve the image, we lack the message. And the message is the point that we need to get across.

It's all about the detail

Holland.
I have been told that a painter often draws the symbols of sight and touch. He/She first draws the eye that sees the object, then the hand that holds the brush. It is the first step of the journey,it is like testing the water with your toe. What happens when you are afraid of moving on,to darker waters? The testing becomes more accurate, you improve, but the meaning of this action fades, and as it fades,it depresses you, until you finally say, "lets move on".

Threshold

When I first received strong guidance.

The Gift

When we are in love, obstacles seem easy to overcome, even fun.We look at walls and see meadows. Is love a psychological power or an illusion?

Scrapbook:Obey

When anger turns to lines.
It is when art turns to politics.
Being an artist means living with an urge to create.Living in an  uncreative society that is lead by  people without perspective makes one hopeless. When being a politician has trully become just being a manipulator of situations and making human life dispendable,an artist tends to spend his life trying to make life immortal, give it meaning, reason and value.

Scrapbook:Oscillate

Collage.
We spend a lot of time in our lives, just floating. It may be in our dreams,or in our awaken life, floating between feelings and situations. It is the time between changes that we feel restless. But it is true that we never really focus on those moments,we all try to get rid of the insecurity and land on stable grounds. It seems to me that if we hold on to the instability, try to see ourselves acting and reacting, then we ll have trully overcome the sentiment of weakness that comes with it.

Dimension

Early work.

The hat

Half Photo-half painting. An early work of a hand that reaches for  the person's hat that the wind through away, the protection of the head.A hat is just hanging in an other direction.
[we are so overwherlmed of what we lost (the painted hat) that we never see]

Comme il faut?

How many faces do we have to create for ourselves to be considered normal in society? How come this disorder is considered normal? And why is that if one does not cave to the pressure is thrown out?How long till one of them rises and destroys the others to be kept,if and until,we reach an older age?Where does the energy of this inner fight go to and what is it used for?

Protection

I did this when I was 11,one of my early completed works.I had no knowledge of what was done in art,no researched inspiration,I had never heard the name Magritte.Loads of information are passed by in an early age,a confusion of what was done before us.Fun fact: the deep red of the rose is ketchup, the white paint is  from when I painted a room and the dark shadows are just ashes from the fireplace.

Union for music

Bodies united in a simplistic form of a guitar. There are lots of reasons for  human soul to feel differrent, alone.Music seems to be one of the forces that unite us,no matter the psychological obsticles.

Umbrellas

The journey of an artist. The need to rise where he/she belongs, only to find other kinds of limits and repetitive patterns.

Trapped

The feeling of being trapped in a situation. If you illustrate it,you may find your way out.

Mother

Theme of motherhood. Our first chance to love and socialisation is still human.

Childhood door

Childhood memory.Keep the hallway light on,please.
When we are young, we can see the monsters in the outside.A dark room can be full of creatures of our imagination. At some point, the creatures become one with us, and we cannot see them anymore.
I wanted to focus on that time, when good and bad had antithetic meanings. I want to focus on that light that comes from the hallway and fills me with serenity at night. It was so easy to calm down when we were chlidren. A hand, a light, a hug and the monsters vanished to an other world. We have now become one with our insecurities, problems and aftermath of our actions. The dark world is somewhere inside us,and until we reach it and understand it, it will always haunt us just like the ghosts in the dark, back in the day.
Scratches on the walls and door. Are those scratches made by the monsters,
or us, when we try to reach the calming light?

Woodpecker

Illustration of "Still life with Woodpecker" by Tom Robbins.
The Woodpecker, a symbol of nature, of freedom because of its wings, presents itself in this book as an outlaw. A rotten in the outside outlaw, fully flourished in the inside, creature. Why can't we use our intelligence to evolve, why the gifted ones often enough stay outside,in the dark?

Body and Skull

The Relationship between body and mind through the concept of mortality.Inspired by Vanitas (= art movement that begun in the Netherlands between the 16th and 17th century.A human skull is placed in random still life objects. It represents decay, mortality combined with stillness. Stillness is our illusion, decay is our reality). I am interested in the theme of mortality not because it is dark, but because it always reminds me of how blessed I am for being born. When I focus on this theme, it reminds me of how hard I should work for my life to become meaningful,to be thankful that I am in good health. It reminds me of the beloved people that I lost in my life, and that with this gift also comes an end. The only thing that is certain is that we die.You can see it as a curse,or as a damned motive to add value to your life. And that is your only choice that makes a difference.
Our perception of life is that it is still, certain, the world turns around us.We are programmed to feel this way,in order to function and not become depressed by the disappointing ending. We cannot hang on to this end and embrace it when we are still young and beautiful.

A room, close quarters and closed eyes.
Death, the big pink elephant in the room of life.

Scrapbook:Girl

Never throw away anything.Collage formed by pieces of paper-remains on my desk. A child's happiness cannot be found in the environment that surrounds it. It is within the child and presents itself even in the most ugly sights.
A child is a tabula rasa, a blank canvas, neither good nor bad. We use everything that we experience to raise our younglings. I dream of a society that uses its bad experience constructively, not destructively, and passes on lessons, not traumas.
We evolve so beautifully in technology but we decay within.
