I'm ok

We try so hard to hide our problems and fears from others and ourselves.We have this reoccurring illusion that if we do this, our problems will disappear.Then at some point we are a completely different person from the person that we used to be.We may feel better, but we are not.
If  you throw away a small and meaningless part of you that it is broken,
does this mean that at some point you may actually throw away your entire self if it is broken? 
And is there really a limit to this?

One often has a place to hide,a place where he/she feels secure.
Often enough, this place might become dark, fearful and no longer secure.
Our hiding place might soon be full of ghosts and monsters of our creation.
